Hexylresorcinol (HR, also called 4-hexylresorcinol) is a powerful skin-lightening ingredient that helps fight hyperpigmentation, with anti-aging and antioxidant benefits. According to clinical studies, HR is four times more effective than Hydroquinone(HQ), yet safer and without HQ's cytotoxicity. Multiple clinical studies show HR performs strongly in skin brightening and hyperpigmentation control across all phototypes, with anti-aging benefits.

HR is a level 2 DIY ingredient. It is highly soluble in PEG-8, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Isosorbide Dicaprylate, Ethyl Linoleate, Ethoxydiglycol, Butylene Glycol, and other high-polarity esters, non-ionic solubilizers, glycerol, and a wide range of glycols.

It can be easily used for a pigment correction oil serum

Not recommended to be used with ethanol
