SepiMax Zen can be used in a wide range of skincare products, such as clear gels, serums, creams/moisturizers/gel creams, facial masks, and cleansers. It is easy to use or thickens.

This pre-neutralized polymer can be used to stabilize emulsions and surfactant systems. It is salt-tolerant (up to 10% salt in a water-based gel) and perfect for products containing herbal extracts. In emulsion systems, it works synergistically with fatty alcohols to increase viscosity, stabilize the emulsions, and give the finished products a great skin sensory profile.

In a surfactant system, SepiMax Zen easily works with anionic and non-ionic surfactants to create a cleanser with beautiful, soft, and creamy foam and lather.

SepiMax Zen is compatible with a wide range of oils, such as natural oils, silicones, esters, and butter. It can be used alone (as an anionic emulsifier) to create a beautiful soft emulsion with a great spreading property. However, it is a negatively charged polymer, so it is incompatible with cationic ingredients.

Key benefits:

  • Highly effective at a lower usage
  • High resistance to electrolytes
  • Can be used as a thickener, gel agent, emulsion stabilizer, and "emulsifier,"
  • It can also be used as a suspension agent
  • It is an anionic polymer compatible with non-ionic polymers and emulsifiers.
  • It has an elegant sensory profile
  • It is a pre-neutralized polymer; no neutralization is needed for this polymer
  • Can be used in hot and cold process formulations
  • Easy to wet. No clump formation.
